Welcoming Our Newest Associate: Joselyn Sceeles

The team at Whitehead, Miles & Allen LLP are pleased to announce that Joselyn Sceeles has officially joined us as our newest Associate Lawyer. Joselyn is already a familiar face around the office, having joined our team as a summer law student in 2023. With her officially being called to the New Brunswick Bar in June 2026, we could not be prouder to see her transition into this new role as a full member of our legal team.

"Joselyn is a wonderful addition to our team at Whitehead Miles and Allen. She is skilled in family law, civil litigation, and estate matters and ready to serve our clients," says WMA partner Matthew Pearn.

Joselyn’s educational path here in Fredericton has shaped her approach to law. She spent her undergraduate years at the University of New Brunswick’s Renaissance College, focusing on a Bachelor of Philosophy in Interdisciplinary Leadership, graduating in 2021, before going on to earn her Juris Doctor from the UNB Faculty of Law in 2025. Today, she’s prepared to serve a well-rounded practice designed to meet our clients’ legal needs. Whether she is guiding a family through estate planning, handling a real estate transaction, or advocating for someone in civil litigation, family disputes, or personal injury claims, Joselyn focuses on creating a genuine partnership based on trust and clear communication.

"I’m incredibly proud to officially join the team at WMA,” says Sceeles. “There is a distinct, welcoming atmosphere here that you don't find everywhere. I’ve always believed in the philosophy to 'do what you love, and you'll never work a day in your life,’ and getting to practice law alongside such brilliant, encouraging mentors makes it easy to love what I do every single day."

Although her early roots are in Ontario, Joselyn moved to the Fredericton area with her family in 2012 and has spent the last fourteen years as part of our local community. When she is away from her desk, she can be found working in her garden, perfecting a batch of sourdough bread, out on the trails in Mazerolle Settlement with her hose, or engaging in the time-honoured pastime that humbles many a lawyer: golf.
